Cost Estimator: Prepare cost estimates for commercial jobs based on construction plans and specifications & by utilizing mathematical calculations, quantity take-offs, analytical processes and cost history to complete the estimate with accuracy. Communicate estimate bid information to field operations to ensure understanding of scope as well communication with General contractors, superintendents and project managers at the job side. Filters bid by priority based on scope of work, job locations and job material required on architectural drawings. Handle all aspects of the project from bid through completion, including job awarding, scheduling, change orders, RFIs, Submittals, Addendums, subcontract agreements and invoices. Manage, organize and file all documents in relation to the specific project. Ensure the clients expectations are met, while ensuring cost, value engineering and schedule compliance. Develop and maintain business relationships to increase bid opportunities. Analyze and compare estimate data that impact the cost of labor, materials, equipment and other factors. Meet with residential customers and explain the product (marble, granite and quartz) as well as perform slab layout. FT. Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in construction management, business administration or related. 2 years of experience or 2 years of experience in stone industry related jobs. Must have knowledge of reading and analyzing blueprint drawings, calculation of the stone square footage, and knowledge of stone characteristics. Knowledge of ActionFlow or Sheet Cutting Suite estimating software is a must. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience. Jobsite: Chantilly, VA.
